“You need to be an advocate for your own health and that means reading the ingredients on the label and knowing what they are.”
— Leah Goldglantz
Here at GreenChoice, we’re on a mission to empower people to create a healthy, just, and sustainable world through their daily food choices. Improving our food system and the health of our country depends on the action of many people. With all that is going on in the world, we understand how important it is to spotlight people who are living healthy and sustainable lives and inspiring others to do the same.

I truly believe in the saying ‘you are what you eat’. I truly feel my best when I eat healthy, whole foods that nourish my body. I have better mental clarity and more energy. I respect my body and don’t want to eat foods that are inflammatory or heavily processed.
I try to source my food from local and organic farmers whenever possible. I cut out plastic as much as I can. I take care of my body with not only what I eat, but also what I put on it (beauty products) as well as non-toxic cleaning products. Health to me is much more than just eating healthy. Movement is also huge for me!! I move every day even if it’s just a walk or a quick yoga flow.
There are SO many products on the market that claim to be healthy, but are made with ingredients that I don’t believe to be healthy (canola oil, natural flavors, gums, artificial sweeteners). You need to be an advocate for your own health and that means reading the ingredients on the label and knowing what they are.
75% of what I buy is organic produce. My grocery cart is always packed with fruits and veggies. In addition to that I buy 100% grass-fed and grass-finished meat, organic pasture-raised eggs and poultry, high-quality yogurt, and a handful of packaged foods that I know are made with all clean and wholesome ingredients.
Yes! It helps me to make better choices.
Eat whole foods!! Pack your plate with vegetables. Don’t overthink it! Avoid processed foods. Shop local and organic when possible.
